From the BioShock website:
Many of you have been asking if BioShock would utilize DX10 feature set. The official answer is that yes, BioShock will be utilizing DX10. However, for those of you who won’t be upgrading by August, don’t worry. BioShock will also run with DX9.

Take-Two Interactive polled you, the eager fans, as to whether or not they should publish a limited / collector’s edition of BioShock. The following comment is taken from their website…
“Yesterday around 6 PM, EST, I announced that if we collected 5000 signatures on a petition, I could convince 2K to give us a BioShock Limited Edition.
By 11.15 PM, EST, we had met that number. We’re still climbing at 14,000, blowing out all my expectations, and then some.
I think I danced into the office today. And now I’m proud to announce to you that 2K will be making a BioShock Limited Edition for both Xbox 360â„¢ and PC.”
If you would like to help 2K decide what to put in the limited edition, you can vote here.

2KGames has officially announced that BioShock will hit the streets on August 21st. They were also kind enough to let us know that that will be a Tuesday for those of us who were planning on calling in sick. Me personally, I’m planning on taking the whole week off! One day, sheesh, what are they thinking ;-)?

Over at GameTrailers.com, BioShock was listed as one of the Top Games of 2007, coming in at number 6 in their countdown. Great job to the developers at 2k & Irrational Games. You’re producing what seems to be one of the greatest games I, and apparently a lot of others, have ever seen. Keep it up.
Honorable mention: Assassin’s Creed came in at number two; check out Assassin’s Haven to see just why it did.
Ken from Irrational talks about BioShock on MTV news with Stephen Totilo. It’s pretty interesting to hear the throughts of the makers of BioShock, what they words they use to describe their game, and little details you may have not heard before.
Elizabeth over at Cult of Rapture recently got a visit to Irrational, snapping a few shots of the workplace. Looks pretty nice there, with all of the guys seemingly nicely at work. Elizabeth says that this isn’t the last visit there, so stay tuned here for an update to her next visit to Irrational.

Cult of Rapture - Recently, Cult of Rapture was recently released, creating a very nice website - and soon to be what seems a nice community. The site is a great source for some information, new screenshots, and more - which we will have as they become apparent. It also has a Podcast, which will release information tidbits about BioShock. The site looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to see how it develops.
BioShock Podcast Outbreak - BioShock has recently hit two Podcasts, one from Cult of Rapture, and one from Next Generation. Both are pretty cool, and if you’re into podcasts, I’d check them out.
New York City looking for Bioshock playtesters - If you live in the area of NYC, you might want to check this out, seeing as how this game looks amazing. I wish I lived in NYC so I could do this. They wouldn’t even have to pay me to play 9 hours of it, like they are offering ($10/hr to play an amazing game, what could be better?).
On another note, here at Project Bioshock, we’ll be adding a new header and some new BioShock screenshots pretty soon.

As the last post was inaccurate (now deleted), I’d just like to clarify that Bioshock is NOT coming to the Playstation 3 console. That ‘current’ scan from the OPM (UK) magazine is actually from september. It was for some reason uploaded and put on Digg, but now is buried on there, as it is inaccurate. It has been announced at X06 (November Microsoft event) that it is not going to PS3.
Do not get confused, BioShock is a Xbox 360/PC Exclusive!
If you need the source/further proof, see this.

Welcome to the wonderful Bioshock haven that the very kind Crynos has established for the Bioshock fans. He spent a lot of his time putting this site together, and it looks amazing - thanks!
This site will keep you updated on anything and everything that is Bioshock. The gallery section will be updated frequently, as will the FAQ as the questions arrive. There may be some site changes - like the banner up top - made occasionally, or little details. For those of you who don’t really know what Bioshock is all about, here’s some great videos to get you into the loop..
BioShock Teaser (HD here) - Great little teaser
BioShock Developer walkthrough (HD here) - Great 15 minute walkthrough with a lot of gameplay (all gameplay)
And a little piece of news in case you didn’t catch it a few days back..
BioShock to be released June 2007, says Elizabith 2k (a few posts down), an official 2k employee.
I’ll keep you posted with any news and updates : )
